A FEW THINGS FOR THE ROAD

Terms of use.

The service

Bible Miles selects a Bible verse by default from an activity’s rounded distance and, when enabled, adds it to your Strava description. It is an independent service and is not endorsed, sponsored, or operated by Strava. You must be at least 18 to create a Bible Miles account.

Your permission and control

You authorize the description changes when you connect Strava and enable automation. We process eligible new activities, not your past activity history. You can pause or disconnect at any time. You remain responsible for the content you share and for complying with Strava’s terms.

Verse selection and scriptures

Strava activity distance is rounded down to two decimal places in your selected unit, matching Strava’s display when you use the same unit. Manually entered explorer distances are rounded to the nearest hundredth. The whole number determines the chapter and the decimal determines the verse. A matching book is selected. If no verse matches your preferences, we either skip the activity or use a fallback verse, according to your settings. Supporters can choose whether to include the fallback introduction and translation label. Curated mode uses a limited set of verses selected by Bible Miles; selection is not theological advice or a claim of divine guidance.

The Bible translation for free accounts is the World English Bible (WEB). Supporters can choose WEB, the King James Version (KJV), or the Douay–Rheims 1899 Catholic Bible (DRA). WEB and KJV use 66 books; Douay–Rheims includes the 73-book Catholic canon and follows its own verse numbering, including Psalms. These texts are in the public domain in the United States; KJV has separate Crown rights in the United Kingdom. World English Bible is a trademark of eBible.org. Bible Miles is not affiliated with or endorsed by any church. Changes apply to future activities. When Supporter access ends, your scripture-source choice is kept. Bible verses use WEB, and Supporter formatting options return to their free defaults.

Additional scriptures: Every plan includes the option to use Book of Mormon only, or Bible and Book of Mormon together. Choose your sources in Verse preferences → Additional scriptures. New accounts start with Bible only. It uses a public-domain English text with standard chapter and verse numbering. Each activity receives one verse; fallbacks stay within your selected sources. Old/New Testament filters apply only to Bible verses.

Supporter memberships

Supporter memberships are $1 per month or $10 per year in US dollars, plus applicable taxes, if any. The selected plan renews automatically until canceled. Prices and the billing interval are shown before payment in Stripe Checkout. You can cancel through Manage billing in your dashboard; normal cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Deleting your account cancels the membership immediately.

Only features listed as available are included in a purchase. Future translations or features are not guaranteed. Any price change will be communicated before it applies to your next renewal. For a refund request, contact us; any rights required by applicable consumer law remain unaffected.

Gift memberships

A gifted year of Supporter is a one-time $10 USD purchase, with no automatic renewal. Each gift can be redeemed once using an existing or new account. It adds one calendar year after any remaining paid or gifted membership time, or starts at redemption if there is no time remaining. Unredeemed gifts have no redemption deadline. For an eligible active paid subscription, redemption postpones the next payment until the combined membership time ends. The existing plan then resumes its normal billing interval unless renewal is canceled. A gift does not turn canceled renewal back on. Unresolved payments or unusual billing arrangements may require support before redemption. Anyone holding an unused gift link can redeem it; share it privately. Complimentary gifts issued by Bible Miles follow the same redemption rules. Fully refunded gifts are invalidated, and disputed payments may suspend their gifted access. Removing a gift also removes its extension of a paid subscription’s renewal date. Other paid or gifted time is kept; if none remains, the subscription ends without an immediate new charge. Contact support for gift or refund assistance.

Availability and limitations

Activity updates depend on Strava, hosting, and other service providers. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, an exact posting time, or that an update will always succeed. Strava may change or restrict API access. Simultaneous edits by you or another app can conflict with an automated description update.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and third-party services are provided “as is,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Bible Miles and its third-party service providers are not liable for consequential, special, punitive, or indirect damages. Nothing here excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Privacy and ending your account

Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export data and delete your account from the dashboard. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service or jeopardize its security, and will provide notice where appropriate.
